24 October 2026

Your first room asks for its name before it is made, and the first-steps card on your profile is three links now: into the room to name it, into the room to hang something, and to its Share sheet. Adding a text, quote or voice piece opens it ready to type, with the caret in its first field. On a phone, an empty wall's Add piece button and import choices sit under the wall's title.

19 October 2026

Search gives the whole count and fills in as you scroll, with no button to press. Each result says what it is and whose on its first line, names walls the way a room does (Room: Wall), and its picture opens it like its title. While a search runs, a wall of frames drifts by and lights up one by one.

19 October 2026

Every room now has a Map: its walls as shelves, with every work in hanging order, so you can take in a whole room at a glance. Choose a wall or a work to go straight to it. Find it beside the checklist at the top of a room, or at the foot of the wall list. From either one, Escape or the left arrow takes you back to the room.

19 October 2026

Framing and sizing, reworked. The panel opens over the page, so nothing is cut off. A frame's face and float gap are now sliders with a wider range, set in fixed widths, and the frame changes as you drag. One switch hangs every work on a wall the same way, and Reset clears everything. Shadows below an artwork are no longer cut off. And in edit mode, pressing A opens Arrange from anywhere in a room.

18 October 2026

Works imported from hic et nunc no longer arrive as the platform's black-circle logo. Where a token had no separate display image, the logo was stored in place of the art; now the art itself is fetched — a video comes in as a video, and a long animation is scaled to fit rather than refused — and nearly all the works already imported that way have their real pictures. Any picture a platform stamps on many tokens is now refused as an artwork.

18 October 2026

The register keeps track of where things are. Each work's location — a flat file, a drawer, a shelf — now shows in the ledger and its export, and searching your library finds a work by where it is kept. That stays yours: it never appears to anyone else, in search or anywhere. And on Pro you can print labels from the ledger, a sheet of thirty or one large label per work. Each has the accession number and a QR code that opens the work for you, and shows nothing to anyone else unless the work is on your public register.

18 October 2026

Every room now has a checklist, the way a show does: each wall in order and each work on one line, with its artist and year. Any line takes you back into the room at that work. It prints as a single clean page headed by the room, its curator and the date. Find it beside Share at the top of a room, or at the foot of the wall list.

11 October 2026

Eleven room themes. Six are new — Kunsthalle, Darkroom, Overprint, Primary, Masthead and Accession — each in its own typefaces and in light and dark. Three are renamed: Gallery (was Editions), Ration (was Rationalist) and Flash (was Private View). Quarterly sets its text larger and its small print darker, and figures now stand at cap height in every theme but Gallery. Endpaper and Canson are retired.

10 October 2026

Every room now says who curated it, with a link to their rooms. The “Shared by” bar appears only to someone who opened a link a person sent them, names whoever sent it, and stays until it is closed. Visitors who are not signed in see a small “Build your own HOP gallery” box instead. A shared link to a single artwork opens that artwork again.

9 October 2026

Wallet imports can start from a name — name.eth or name.tez — as well as an address, and every imported work remembers the wallet it came from. Tokens that look like scam airdrops arrive unticked, so nothing lands in your library you did not choose.

6 October 2026

Bring the inventory you already keep. A spreadsheet — CSV or Excel, in your own columns — imports straight into your library, with pictures by link or inside the file, up to 1 GB.

5 October 2026

Hanging controls. In edit mode each image, video and live artwork can be sized, given its own space before it, a shadow or a real frame — flush or float, eight materials, three widths — and each wall has its own spacing. Size and spacing are Plus; shadows and frames are Pro.

17 September 2026

Changing your password now signs you out everywhere else, which is usually the reason for changing it. A live artwork opened from your library shows its real proportions and its Still or Live setting, instead of a square frame and a setting that snapped back after you saved it. And an artwork edited from the library updates in every room it hangs in, not just the library.

16 September 2026

Changing your password now asks for your current one — or works straight after signing in from an email link — so a session left open somewhere can’t be used to lock you out. Removing a live artwork from one wall no longer deletes it from your library and every other wall it hangs on. And a live artwork opened from the library can have its link and proportions edited there.

15 September 2026

Live artworks that had stopped running are running again. One of the IPFS hosts behind them began blocking the scripts inside the works it serves, so HOP now loads those works from its own address, hopcontent.gallery — only where the original can’t run, and only the files that work is made of. 25 works in 7 galleries are back.

15 September 2026

Forgotten passwords can be reset: “Forgot password?” on the log-in page emails a link that works on whichever device you open it on, and saving a new password signs out everywhere else. Password is now the default way to log in, with the magic link one tap to the right.

15 September 2026

Imported Ethereum artworks now keep their full picture. The importer was taking a marketplace's square preview — a centre crop — instead of the file the artist minted, and forty artworks that came in that way have been re-imported from their originals. Live artworks that are videos arrive muted, with a Sound button beside LIVE when there is sound to hear, and a live artwork pauses when you scroll past it and picks up where it was when you come back.

15 September 2026

Live artworks whose host has stopped serving them now show their still instead of an empty frame. HOP checks every live artwork daily and puts the running version back as soon as it works again. Stepping through artworks with the arrow keys no longer shows the previous picture beside the next one's details, and the registry record on an artwork is folded away until you open it.

3 September 2026

Wallet imports fill instantly. Every artwork that runs already arrived with a still picture of itself, and the room was throwing it away and showing you an empty frame while an IPFS gateway thought about it — sometimes for ever. The picture is there from the first moment now, and the live version fades in over it when it has loaded.

3 September 2026

An import lands on the wall you started it from, rather than on whichever empty wall came first in the room. Starting one from Dropbox or Google Drive inside a room no longer builds a second room beside it. And adding a wall from the bottom of a room takes you up to it.

1 September 2026

Imported artworks arrive credited and dated. Neither is written on an Ethereum token — measured on a real wallet, sixteen of a hundred named an artist and one named a year — so HOP reads the mint from the chain and the artist from an index that catalogues artworks rather than tokens. On that wallet: 115 of 126 credited, up from 21, and 124 dated, up from none. Tezos work is credited 301 of 313.

1 September 2026

Tezos artworks now arrive with the artist's name and the year, and HOP knows which of them actually run — a generative piece comes in live and loads from the same place objkt serves it, while a still picture is left as a picture instead of being wrapped in a frame. Editing an artwork's title, year or type from the library saves again.

1 September 2026

Signup links. An account can now be made for someone whose email address we don't have — a link that carries a plan with it, closes after a set number of uses, and expires on its own.

31 August 2026

Wallet imports are fixed in three places: artworks the chain serves in newer image formats now come in instead of being silently skipped, the picker draws small previews again rather than pulling full artworks, and an import started from an empty wall fills that wall instead of making another one beside it. Live artworks load through a gateway browsers can actually open. The dots under a wall are clickable, so a long wall can be crossed in one move.

31 August 2026

One field for anything you paste — a marketplace item, an NFT page, a video, an image, or a generative work that runs in the browser. HOP works out which it is. Pasting the same link twice tells you it is already yours, and Escape closes a dialog without leaving the room. The Live mark now sits beside a work's name rather than over it, and means what it says: the piece is drawn from its source each time you look, not from a copy we keep.

31 August 2026

Importing from a link now brings in a video as a video, not as a still of one, and keeps a link back to the page it came from — including for work that has never been minted. Very large artworks import instead of failing, and pasting a marketplace link into the live-artwork field adds the artwork rather than framing the marketplace.

31 August 2026

A wallet import now lands in the room you started it from, instead of making a new one. Tezos imports keep the running artwork as well as the still, so a generative piece can be watched rather than only looked at, and a wallet you have already signed for is not asked for a signature again.

30 August 2026

Studio accounts can run several custom domains at once, each with its own landing words, logo, colour and colophon — so one account can keep two sites that look nothing alike. Visitors to a room you open for questions can now write to you from the room, a wall, or a single artwork; the message arrives with what they were looking at attached, and your address is never shown to them.

30 August 2026

A share link can now open a private room for the person you sent it to, and only them. The first person to open it sees the content, and after that the link does not load for anyone else it is forwarded to.

23 August 2026

Team accounts. Several people work one library, each with their own seat and role, and an activity log records who changed what.

15 August 2026

Solana wallets import alongside Ethereum and Tezos. Each collection becomes a wall, and every artwork keeps a link back to where it lives on chain.

13 August 2026

Record a voice note on an artwork and it plays when a visitor reaches it, so you can walk someone through a room in your own voice. Every account also now holds three invitations to give away.

10 August 2026

Wallet imports lost their ceiling: the browser drives the job, so a wallet of any size finishes, shows real progress, and can be stopped and resumed.

9 August 2026

Every artwork is registered on arrival with an accession number, a fingerprint of its file and the date it entered your collection. Pro accounts get the full ledger, a printable certificate for any piece, and an optional public register.

2 August 2026

Arrange mode: a single screen showing every wall in a room at once, where you drag pieces between walls and reorder the walls themselves. Selecting several at a time moves them together.

30 July 2026

Paste a link to an artwork — a marketplace page, a token, a metadata file — and it comes in with what it knows about itself. Live-coded and on-chain SVG work is rendered safely and archived as it arrived.

29 July 2026

A spreadsheet view of every artwork in a room, with copy-down on any column and CSV in and out. Artwork details now live on the artwork itself, so editing one anywhere updates it everywhere it hangs.

28 July 2026

Live-coded artworks hang as pieces, sandboxed and sized to their own proportions. New accounts are offered an import at every empty room and empty wall rather than only at the start.

14 July 2026

Ethereum and Tezos wallet import. Each contract becomes a wall, and provenance is stamped on every piece from the chain, the contract and the token.

5 July 2026

Import an Apple Photos shared album by pasting its link. Visitor counts, referrers and time spent are now recorded per room, first-party and without a tracker following anyone home.
